Terms of Use
These Terms govern use of Doc Scanner 2027 and its product website. By using the app, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. App license
Peter’s Engineering grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app for lawful document-scanning purposes, subject to Google Play terms and these Terms.
2. Your documents and responsibility
You retain rights you hold in documents, images, signatures and text processed with the app. You are responsible for having permission and a lawful basis to scan, copy, sign, share or send that material to an optional provider. Do not use the app to infringe privacy, copyright, confidentiality or other rights.
3. OCR and editing accuracy
Automatic cropping, filters, OCR, compression and AI output can contain errors or omit information. Review the original pages and final output before relying on it. The app is not a certified archival, identity-verification, accounting, medical or legal system.
4. Electronic signatures
The signature tool places a visual image on a document. It does not verify identity, intent, authority, consent, certificate status or legal enforceability and is not a qualified or certificate-based electronic-signature service. You are responsible for determining whether a visual signature is suitable for your transaction and jurisdiction.
5. Optional third-party services
Google Play services / ML Kit, OpenAI and Stripe operate under their own terms. Availability, supported devices, models, pricing, retention and results may change. You are responsible for charges and compliance associated with an API key you provide.
6. Voluntary support
Where enabled and permitted, support payments are optional, one-time and provide no app feature, content, entitlement, badge, higher limit or priority service. Payment availability may vary by distribution channel, region and applicable platform rules.
7. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to bypass security, misuse third-party APIs, distribute malware, interfere with the service, process unlawful content, impersonate another person, or use a signature without authorization.
8. Availability and updates
The app may require Google Play services components and may not be supported on every Android device. Features may be modified or discontinued to maintain security, compatibility or policy compliance.
9. Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular legal or business purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
